Whitehall Academic is a trading name of Gautam Natarajan, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here.

You can reach us at support@whitehallacademic.com about anything on this page, including to request our postal address.

We do not run customer accounts and we keep no customer database of our own. When you buy a guide, your order is held by Paddle, our payment provider. When you subscribe for a free sample, your email address is held by our email provider.

When you buy a guide: your email address, your country, and the record of your order. Paddle collects these in order to take payment, calculate tax and send your receipt. We can see your order in Paddle's dashboard so that we can support you and re-send your download link. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.

When you ask for a free sample or subscribe: your email address, so that we can send you the sample and occasional emails about the guides. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

When you email us: your message and your email address, so we can reply.

We never see or store your card details. Those go directly to Paddle.

Paddle.com Market Ltd, which sells the guides to you as the seller of record, takes payment and handles tax and refunds.

Resend, which sends your download link and other transactional emails.

Kit, which holds our marketing email list and sends marketing emails, if you have subscribed.

Vercel, which hosts this website, and Cloudflare, which manages our domain and forwards email sent to support@whitehallacademic.com.

Each of these is an established provider with its own privacy policy. Some are based outside the UK, so your information may be processed abroad under the safeguards those providers put in place. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

Order records are kept by Paddle for as long as it is required to keep them, which includes tax and accounting rules. Marketing subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Emails you send us are kept while they are useful for support, and then deleted.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@whitehallacademic.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, the UK's data protection regulator.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
